Hi Lynne,
I had to put pen to paper if for no other reason than to thank you from the bottom of my heart for a fabulous weekend.
It was certainly a rarity for me to have Shirley enter the Tree House, although her mouth was open there was definitely no sound.
You have managed to encompass every romantic thought I have had over a romantic weekend and turned it into reality. For that alone I am forever in your debt. The conversations the three of us had over the weekend were an added bonus for us both. Given the stress we are both under, due to our jobs and the damn earthquakes, I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would find a place such as yours where, for all intents and purposes, the world disappeared if only for a brief moment in time. Although there was another “tremor” on the Saturday night, being up in the trees, somewhat isolated me from reality and I slept through it.
Being able to sit in the bathtub at night, under a canopy of stars, was as close to heaven as I could imagine being.
Coming back to the “farm” will be definitely on the “to do” list. Lets just hope that a few more people learn of its existence, and indulge themselves. The romantics amongst us deserve it.
To quote the most famous “ Arnold ” I`ll be back.
Thank you once again Lynne, I hope to talk to you again in the not too distant future.

Kindest regards
Kevin and Shirley:

Whilst I composed this, 6 months after our stay, Jen & I speak of it as if it were yesterday.

We thought it would appropriate to include you in our wedding thank yours, considering how much we both relished our time at your “bohemian love shack”.

The accommodation was definitely as stated, but made even more enjoyable by our political discussions over breakfast, the newspaper hanging on the gate, your oven warmed chocolate croissants, and the divine outdoor wood-fired bathtub.
The personal touches like your homemade berry juice & quirky (fantastic!) décor have made your Tree Crop Farm truly unforgettable.

It’s interestingly enough, a place of both relaxation & intellectual stimulation.
Thank you for you hospitality,

love Paul and Jen.

Hello Lynne!

Viviana here. Just wanted to say thank you for the magic that you have created at Tree Crop Farm!

Thank you so so very much for making such a beautiful escape for people to enjoy and become inspired by romance and the magic that exists there! Your energy is wrapped throughout the entire place, the thought and care that you had for us throughout our stay was genuinely humbling.

Thank you so much from my heart and I am sure that we will be seeing you there again soon enough! It was such a shame to have to leave and now wallow in the post holiday blues for a wee bit. It was like a wonderful dream being there!!! In fact, you were in my dream last night! You delivered quite an important message....so thanks for that too!! ;o)

I hope that your day is a beautiful one - though I can't imagine that it could be anything else at Tree Crop Farm!
Viviana.

Viviana here. Just wanted to say thank you; not only for the awesome flower email that James forwarded to me (which reminded me of all the flowers there!), but for the magic that you have created at Tree Crop Farm!

Thank you so much providing a wonderful haven for Brett and me this weekend. It was a much needed reprieve for 24 hours and by far, the best birthday present I have ever received!
We missed the children, and although they asked if they could visit with us next time- we’ll just keep Tree Crop farm a special Mummy and Daddy place for now we think.

Thank you again for providing a unique experience that stretched our comfort zones, yet left us feeling refreshed and ready to face the reality of three children under 5 years.

Warm regards,
Helen and Brett Wells

Hello Lynnie,

I hope you're well and everything is beautiful and happy at Tree Crop Farm.

I've been meaning to drop you a note for a very long time, just to say how much Emma and I enjoy thinking back to our few days in the Treehouse in February earlier this year. You may remember we got engaged here, whilst on a walk up to the top of the hill, and then spent a heavenly couple of days relaxing on your porch drinking your delicious berry juice, lazing in the baths under the stars and barbecuing back at the treehouse. We were blessed with spectacular weather (except on the last morning when you heated the hot tub, lit a roaring fire for us, and put on the old gramophone).

We have talked so much about it since and can honestly say that Tree Crop Farm is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places we have ever been, and our few days with you were, quite simply, heaven.

You made us feel completely at home and for that we are truly grateful.

Our wedding plans are coming along slowly (due to get married next August in a rustic barn in the middle of England), so plenty of time.

All the very best,

Jonathan and Emma

"The breakfast was great...delivered to the hut on a tray..
yoghurt and fruit.
Berry juice, latte and hot crunchy ciabatta roll, warm chocolate croissant, and another latte when we went up to the cafe after we finally got out of bed around 12 oclock..its a back packers paradise..we were so sick of our van ..this was just the best treat before our plane left from christchurch

"I have never stayed in nor visited any place that has impressed me as much as Tree Crop Farm has, and I've traveled quite extensively. I don't recommend things lightly but I would say that a visit/stay at Tree Crop Farm would have to be on your list of 'things to do before you die'. Words cannot explain the experience, only the experience itself will give you understanding. I'm sure there is no other place on earth like it! I simply MUST return."

"It was the first time we've been away from the kids since they were born ..my husband promised me i could stay in bed for 24 hours and just get up for the bath outside ! "

elegant simple hideaway Akaroa accommodation
the sound of the birds the dawn chorus was just about enough to make you cry..Tree Crop Farm is really the most romantic place ... I wouldn't call them huts, I'd call them "love shacks"
we are from christchurch and weve been to all the huts, tried them all ....
The bedouin creek so close to the river is still our favourite.
we call it "the babes in the wood hut"
We got engaged there !
"The attention to detail is lovely, candles and flowers and herbs all round the hut even in the bathrooms.."
what I love about this place is its so unpretentious, but stylish at the same time ...its eco friendly and committed to a natural way of living without even mentioning anything about composting or recycling ..
the water has no chlorine in it ..it tastes like water, filtered from the river which is what it is .i just hated all the chlorinated water in the cities in nz..
Tree Crop Farm is the only bed and breakfast retreat in New Zealnd that encourages guests to sleep in until midday and then have brunch on the verandah or by the fire

"my husband is a pyromanic, he loved taking over the fires and sorting all that out, it was just the best thing for him to be busy - and i was so happy there was no sky sport TV !
We really talked in the bath, and i slept in for the first time in years....no kids, no cartoons on TV."
lazy weekend away accommodation in akaroa new zealand bed and breakfast

why dont you advertise more ? ... theres not even a brochure in the village,

..do you want it to be a secret or something ?
actually you're right though ....

Tree Crop Farm is just the way you think the whole of NZ is going to be until you get here and realise they have messy cities and towns and polluton and burglary just like everywhere else...but tree crop is just magic...we didnt even lock out car or close our doors or windows.

Theres something about candles that make a woman feel beautitful and those red silk sheets on the beds and the fire in the room ..it was heaven for me..i didnt want to leave..ever..can i come and live here.

My husband proposed to me in the bush bath with the fire going underneath ... he had the ring in his bathrobe pocket and kept feeling his pocket. All the time there was a possum in the tree somewhere..we went home and built one of those baths and every year on our anniversary that's where we go, either to Tree Crop or out to our own bush bath...

"You dont expect such good coffee out in the country ...im a coffee freak so i just have to start the day with a great coffee, hot, fluffy great crema, its the most important thing when i go away."

The quotes are everywhere. the doves flying around even the peacock ..i loved it all...i'm wheat and dairy free so i had free range eggs, real ones ..where the hens run around outside all the time...and ham and rice bread and soy coffee...Lynnie didnt make me feel picky ...shes wheat and dairy free herself.

We got married at Tree Crop Farm but we only had six people and we took all the huts and stayed here the whole time..set up the barbecue and lit our own baths. And had the music loud until at least three in the morning.....
