"The breakfast was great...delivered to the hut on a tray..
yoghurt and fruit.
Berry juice, latte and hot crunchy ciabatta roll, warm chocolate croissant, and another latte when we went up to the cafe after we finally got out of bed around 12 oclock..its a back packers paradise..we were so sick of our van ..this was just the best treat before our plane left from christchurch." |

"I have never stayed in nor visited any place that has impressed me as much as Tree Crop Farm has, and I've traveled quite extensively. I don't recommend things lightly but I would say that a visit/stay at Tree Crop Farm would have to be on your list of 'things to do before you die'. Words cannot explain the experience, only the experience itself will give you understanding. I'm sure there is no other place on earth like it! I simply MUST return."
"It was the first time we've been away from the kids since they were born ..my husband promised me i could stay in bed for 24 hours and just get up for the bath outside ! "

the sound of the birds the dawn chorus was just about enough to make you cry..Tree Crop Farm is really the most romantic place ... I wouldn't call them huts, I'd call them "love shacks" |
we are from christchurch and weve been to all the huts, tried them all ....
The bedouin creek so close to the river is still our favourite.
we call it "the babes in the wood hut"
We got engaged there ! |
"The attention to detail is lovely, candles and flowers and herbs all round the hut even in the bathrooms.." |
what I love about this place is its so unpretentious, but stylish at the same time ...its eco friendly and committed to a natural way of living without even mentioning anything about composting or recycling ..
the water has no chlorine in it ..it tastes like water, filtered from the river which is what it is .i just hated all the chlorinated water in the cities in nz.. |
|

"my husband is a pyromanic, he loved taking over the fires and sorting all that out, it was just the best thing for him to be busy - and i was so happy there was no sky sport TV !
We really talked in the bath, and i slept in for the first time in years....no kids, no cartoons on TV." |
|
why dont you advertise more ? ... theres not even a brochure in the village,
..do you want it to be a secret or something ?
actually you're right though ....

Tree Crop Farm is just the way you think the whole of NZ is going to be until you get here and realise they have messy cities and towns and polluton and burglary just like everywhere else...but tree crop is just magic...we didnt even lock out car or close our doors or windows. |
Theres something about candles that make a woman feel beautitful and those red silk sheets on the beds and the fire in the room ..it was heaven for me..i didnt want to leave..ever..can i come and live here.
|
| My husband proposed to me in the bush bath with the fire going underneath ... he had the ring in his bathrobe pocket and kept feeling his pocket. All the time there was a possum in the tree somewhere..we went home and built one of those baths and every year on our anniversary that's where we go, either to Tree Crop or out to our own bush bath... |
|
"You dont expect such good coffee out in the country ...im a coffee freak so i just have to start the day with a great coffee, hot, fluffy great crema, its the most important thing when i go away." |
| The quotes are everywhere. the doves flying around even the peacock ..i loved it all...i'm wheat and dairy free so i had free range eggs, real ones ..where the hens run around outside all the time...and ham and rice bread and soy coffee...Lynnie didnt make me feel picky ...shes wheat and dairy free herself. |
|
We got married at Tree Crop Farm but we only had six people and we took all the huts and stayed here the whole time..set up the barbecue and lit our own baths. And had the music loud until at least three in the morning.....
